Me and my star.

Now that I'm internet savvy (I've been on social networking sites for five years now!) and I understand how blogs work, I guess the first blog should be an introductory one, right? That way, if someone wants to be my friend but they don't know anything about me, I'll tell them to read my blog! I'm swell :]
The basics: I'm 17, and a senior in high school. I'm working really hard to take enough AP classes/tests and classes at ACC to enter ASU as a sophomore. It's less than 10,000 a year, but the point is that I don't have 10,000 a year, much less the 40,000+ it would cost to go there for 4 years. Maybe I'll end up going for two and a half. That would be cool.
I'm a girl. If you can't tell. I've been in a relationship for over 8 months now, which for me is a huge accomplishment. I can't say, "zOMGz we've been through so much together!" because, to be honest, we haven't. I'm his first real girlfriend, and he's the first boyfriend I've cared this deeply about. But he's been in college since August, and it's hard to have a meaningful relationship when you see each other maybe 2 days a month and are constantly too tired to talk on the phone.
My best friend is a girl, too. She's also in a long, long-distance relationship, so we complain to each other about how we miss our guys. She misses hers'more. She's a black belt in tae kwon do, so I have to be careful to only lightly taunt her. She can break concrete blocks with her right hand.
I grew up in PA and moved here a few weeks before I turned 10. I only remember a few things about PA, and they're very vague, like how it used to snow or the drought that dried up the creek and how terrible it was to see thousands of rainbow trout rotting in the streambank.
NC has been good. I like its' warmth, and I like the close proximity to the ocean. The only thing I dislike about the ocean is jellyfish. I was jellyfished once, and the scar is still pretty dark. My hot boyfriend took me to the beach over the summer, and it was very nice to hold onto him and be buffetted around by the water, and he tasted so nice with seawater on his lips.
My little sister is one of my best friends. If you don't know her, you probably think I'm such a dork. But if you do know her, you're probably jealous that she doesn't live with you. Yeah, that's right. That's how great she is.
I think that's all that needs known. Unless there are specific questions?
